Analysing Prospectus

This is the second part of making the school prospectus, creating the contents page.
For this i used editing in photoshop to create different effects for the designing of this page. I included all the subjects that can be done in sixth form that i could think of and a big picture to attract peoples eye right in the centre of the page showing hard working students, I feathered the picture to make it have softer edges and blend in with that background.

Prospectus

We had to produce a school prospectus on photoshop for st marks sixth from after going round school and taking pictures of students in their everyday life at the sixth form. During this project i had to do a lot of editing and different effects on photoshop to make my prospectus more appealing to its target audience.

I used the colour scheme of st.marks as a background, and produce pictures and text to show hard working students in the school.
some of the effects i used were things like feathering a picture to make it a neater image and not as sharp cornered to blend in with the idea of the sixth form that it can be a relaxed place.
Also i made some pictures brighter as two students looked into a book to show that studying here can be worhtwhile and you will have a bright future...

Analysing+annotating magazine covers.

In todays lesson we had two contrasting magazines that are aimed towards different types and ages of audience, and we had to pick out every little detail we could that shows what they were thinking when aiming towards these audiences. What sort of styles and techniques they used and colour schemes etc... The QUAD was harder than the NEWSMAN as it was for an older audience and was not as clear and easy to pick out why they used certain colours, layout etc..

Nature Magazine...

In this lesson i have created a nature magazine by using photoshop, we briefly learnt the basics of using this document and the tips have come in use.

I have used a number of layers and effects within my magazine, such as feathering, croping, and changing colours within the original image to make it look brighter, and more colourful than it was before.
I would have a image to show but it isn't letting me post it on here, so i will have to show it in tuesdays lesson, sorry!

learnt...how to make a blog, and also found out about the specs of what we will do within AS media and not a lot else, however covering this covers my homework, easy enough :)
